I keep getting stares because of my socks. These are not Christmas socks, people! These are my HO SOCKS! Why can't I have mirthful laughter (doubling as a remark on my virtue) on my socks any time other than December?!

The bell rang today and I rushed outside with nearly the same amount of enthusiasm as the students. It's March and Spring is in the air! I went for a walk and just enjoyed the start of the new season. I kind of wish that I had remembered my umbrella though. Still feel rejuvenated, but look a bit like a drowned rat.

I have no idea what I want to do for Spring Break yet. Which I guess is okay, because the anticipation would probably consume me. I just know that I want to travel, and I want to do some good for someone/a group of someones.

Apparently I do not handle disappointment well. I just CRIED over how bad that SNL was.

I sometimes feel like lyrics control my whole day. They sometimes control my mood, or accompany it, like a soundtrack. Does that ever happen to you? I go through my life with different songs and melodies in my head, like I have a mental iPod. A miPod. Or something.

I suppose this makes sense, since I'm a music teacher. But I do wonder if other people have this going on upstairs, or if I'm just one of the "lucky" ones. I honestly cannot recall any moment in my life that did not either involve music actually playing or music in my head.

Maybe I'm schizophonic. (Sorry, I had to.)

Things That Can Make Me Happy Today:

+ The Patriots winning.
+ The Social Network winning.


The Golden Globes are weird, though. I forgot that they split up the categories into best comedy and best drama. Some of the comedy options are super lame. Why is The Tourist in there? It was supposed to suck! Urgh. Desperation is not attractive. Unless you're Eva Longoria.

Here's to a splendiferous New Year, everybody! And here's hopin' next year's tunage is better. Yeesh.

Hahahahaha! That is greatness. Allie Brosh makes me really wish I could draw. I can't draw that well with just a regular pencil and paper. It's kind of not fair.

Also, I'm glad I don't have "traumatic" Christmas memories like that. My childhood was thankfully pretty normal. Though now I wish it'd been a little more weird. >_< Jealousy for weirdness isn't normal, is it?

I am choosing to ignore the fact that my birthday is this coming Saturday and instead focus on Christmas. Really, Christmas is a bigger deal. It's the time to celebrate a whole bunch of people, not just one nerd girl. Plus, I'd rather not think of myself as 30. Is that allowed? Of course it is.

The high school is having it's Winter Holiday concert on Tuesday the 21st at 8 pm. All of you festive types should be there. There will also be cocoa and cookies for all of you sweets-lovin' types. And I'll be there, playing the piano! What's not to like?!

I will never understand fingerless gloves.

Oh my god, that is so romantic!

A little bit creepy, but mostly romantic. I hope that ring's not cursed or anything, but the sentiment is totally UUUGH. Makes me weepy. They're quite the attractive couple, too. It's a shame that the Queen is probably going to continue to rule until they're 75. British women seem to live forever. Just look at Victoria.

Also, to the kid who stole my recorders: IMMA GIT YOU!

I guess I could probably take this "I voted!" sticker off my sweater now. Wow, it's been a long almost-week. But CONAN IS GOING TO BE BACK ON TV! So everything will definitely get better.

I've decided to grow my hair out for locks of love again this year. I stupidly decided to do it about two years ago, during the wintertime, so it grew long during the hot months. Probably better to make the decision now, while it's hot as bawlz, and let it grow out during Autumn/Winter.

I was seriously contemplating smearing my fudgsicle all over my face today. It would've felt SO NICE. But then I realized that the people around me would more than likely start thinking bad, embarrassing things about me if I did that. So I didn't.

Plus, it would have felt great for a few minutes, but it could've only ended in stickiness.

Ah well.

I miss winter. :(
